LINKING SPORTS & COMMUNITIES
Established in 2004, Linking Sports and Communities is a 501©3 non-profit that seeks to enhance the relationships between our communities by encouraging youth to lead actively, healthy lifestyles, learn skills ranging from accountability, financial responsibility and teamwork as well as to continue the advancement of their education. Going strong into our 14th year, in 2017 we aim to enhance these relationships even further through the continuation of previous programs and the implementation of new, dynamic programs.MISSION
In conjunction with various partners and sponsors we look to convey these messages through arenas such as study hall/tutoring, workshops, athletic clinics, and interactive experiences. LSC also strives to recognize academic scholars, youth athletes, and organizations that make significant contributions to their communities, and assist in the advancing of their achievement goals.

Passionate about youth advocacy in both education and health/fitness, Nonye never hesitates to connect with the wave on youth empowerment. Having been involved with Linking Sports & Communities in publications for the past 3 years, this year Nonye has turned up the heat to kick it up a few notches with even larger contributions to LSC.
Over the last decade Nonye has had the pleasure of globally spearheading a number of community programs and events including; Super Bowl 47's NFL Halftime Experience Week with Pepsi, Disney Volunteers Environment Eco-Conservation, ESPN's Times Square Youth Sports Entertainment, NYC Governor's Ball Gives Back Pantry Kitchen, MLB International's countrywide Kids Day At the Ballpark Australia, and much more.
Spearheading a winning team within community commitment is no new avenue for Nonye. Upon her 22 years of Cheerleading, at all tiers--from pop warner to professional level, her most rewarding season was as a youth squad's coach where her rookie team took first place at their very first cheer competition-leading them to a flawless routine at a national level. In Spring 2017, alongside with long time high school classmate--LSC President Cameron J Colvin, Nonye is co-founder to LSC's newest expansion--LSC Northern California. Nonyelum truly looks forward to the flourishing of the New Programs of LSC.
